The American Jail Association is actively evaluating and updating the Certified Jail Trainer certification to better support the professionals responsible for training, mentoring, and preparing jail staff for success.
Training is a critical part of safe, effective, and professional jail operations. This certification is being designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate knowledge, skill, and commitment in correctional training and staff development.
AJA hopes to have the Certified Jail Trainer certification available by the end of the year. Please check back for updates as program details, application materials, and eligibility requirements are finalized.
