The Certified Jail Officer certification is for front-line officers. Candidates are tested on their general knowledge of:
|
Detention Officer Anthony Rubek, CJO
|
Certification provides documented evidence to the public that the individual was examined by an independent
professional organization in the competency of general and management skills regarding operational practices
in the field of local corrections. It not only elevates professional standards of jail operations by indicating that the individual has the proper job experience and body of knowledge, but also encourages continuing education,
professional growth, and a commitment to continue working in the local corrections profession.
All AJA certifications are effective for four years.
