Virtual Conference FAQ
40th Annual Virtual Conference & Jail Expo FAQ
After much consideration, AJA’s leadership decided to make our 2021 conference totally virtual. Although we are disappointed that we won’t be able to see you in person in Columbus, we are determined to create a virtual meeting experience for AJA’s 40th anniversary that will surpass your expectations as an attendee or an exhibitor.
Registration Transfer: Attendees who are already registered for the in-person conference will be automatically transferred to the virtual conference. In addition, you can add another registrant to your registration at no cost to make up for the difference you paid. That's a significant savings over what you would pay for an additional virtual registration, and it's an offer we are only extending to existing registrants. Contact Michele for more information.
Virtual Schedule: The virtual conference dates are now Monday, April 12 – Thursday, April 15.
The virtual schedule is available here.
Hotel and Travel: Hotel reservations made through AJA’s room block will be automatically canceled and any deposits refunded. If reservations were made outside of AJA's room block, those will need to be canceled directly with the hotel. Any travel made by attendees or exhibitors to and from the conference need to be canceled directly with the airline carrier.
Booth Transfer: Exhibitors who have already purchased a booth will be automatically transferred to our virtual conference and expo. To make up for the difference in exhibitor fees, AJA is offering the choice of a free full page ad in American Jails magazine or an AJA VendorConnect webinar featuring your company’s products and services.
