Female Detention Officer
This is an entry-level position in a Detention Center. Work involves providing security and care to incarcerated individuals, enforcing rules and regulations, ensuring safety of inmates, staff and visitors, maintaining order and supervising inmate day to day activities and programs. Work is performed under the general supervision of a supervisor with work reviewed in the form of reports, conferences and observations.

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Must be at least 19 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be jail certified or receive jail certification within one (1) year of employment in accordance with Nebraska Jail Standards. Lincoln County will assist an uncertified applicant/employee with obtaining this certification.
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Must not have had any convictions punishable by imprisonment in a federal or state penitentiary for one (1) year or more unless pardon received.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
