We are excited to be going back to such a vibrant, fun-filled town, Columbus!
We hope that as a Summit attendee you take some time so that you can experience Columbus!
AJA’s host city, Columbus, is the state capital of Ohio, the second-most populous city in the Midwest, and fast becoming known as one of the nation’s most creative, forward-thinking, and exciting cities. Its unique brand of Midwest hospitality, convenience, and affordability, this city is a perfect location for jail professionals to meet, learn, and reconnect.
Columbus offers incredible arts, entertainment, fashion, and culinary options for attendees, and the city boasts a spectacular riverfront with a sprawling ribbon of parkland on the Scioto River. The food scene features top-ranked chefs, a rich farm-to-table movement, unique restaurants, and creative artisan desserts, beers, wines, and spirits. The city has gained national recognition for its food scene and offers more than 100 restaurants within walking distance of the hotels.
Columbus’ vibrant neighborhoods offer endless entertainment options. Collectively, these districts are referred to as the “Five on High” as they sit on a five-mile stretch of High Street, the city’s main thoroughfare, where the hotels are situated. Attendees are at the center of these neighborhoods and entertainment options are accessible on foot or by a short ride on the free CBUS circulator.
From visiting museums to shopping, craft breweries to a hockey game, exquisite dining to casual cuisine, and exploring the unique neighborhoods, there is truly something for everyone in Columbus.
