People want flattery, not criticism. We want to be told we're okay, indeed, fantastic. And Psychologists advise people that they need; to be "accepted" and "accept" themselves as they are. I have learned that no amount of praise or "acceptance" will ever have us like ourselves. We need authentic criticism, embedded with sufficient knowledge, to help us grow productively.
In this course, we will learn:
- Why criticism has a negative connotation.
- We examine how the conditioning that taught us to respond negatively to criticism.
- And see how and why criticism hurts
- To rethink and redefine the term in order to give and take critical feedback effectively.
