Building Resilience
Our chosen profession makes us proud because of the purposeful work we do. But it can also be mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting. It’s rewarding and tough all at the same time. We came into this profession wanting to make our little corner of the world a better place. But while we were doing that, we also experienced unbelievable trauma and adversity. Repeated blows without the necessary resources to deal with trauma can lead to alcoholism, bitterness, drug abuse, depression, financial ruin, divorce, and even suicide. In this presentation, you will be given numerous tools and concepts to strengthen and grow your resilience, how to use those tools when in adversity, and the strategies to help you actually grow through trauma. These tools and ideas will help you build your resilience and strengthen your mind, body and spirit for a happier and healthier life.
