Course Overview:

  The Top 5 Risk Factors in Corrections 2024 
Corrections in America has changed significantly over the past few years.  We have been tasked with doing more with less while ensuring the constitutional rights of the men and women in our custody are ensured.   This training will cover five of the main areas that can lead to litigation.  Health care including mental health treatment will be discussed with a review of recent cases from around the nation.  After action reviews for the use of force will be discussed as will conditions of confinement, classification and victimization.  

*Please note this session may include a sponsored dinner. Participation is optional. 

A minimum number of participants are needed to hold our workshops.  You may cancel up to five business days prior to the Professional Development WorkshopNo refunds will be given for cancellations received five or less business days before the class.  All cancellations are subject to a $50 service fee.  Your cancellation must be received in writing via fax or e-mail.  Substitutions are acceptable.  "No Shows" will be charged at the applicable rate. It is strongly recommended that participants DO NOT purchase airline tickets without first contacting AJA to confirm program availability.  Workshops begin at 8:00 AM and usually go until 5:00 PM (unless otherwise noted).
