Staff-Focused Conflict Resolution
Lead Instructor:  Mike Dooley
Time: 8 AM - 4 PM
Date: December 9 and 10, 2021

Description

Conflict is natural in both our personal and workplace lives. The first step to effectively manage and resolve conflict is to appreciate its natural occurrence in our lives. In this seminar, participants learn their own style of managing conflict, including the barriers and opportunities that this style brings to them and their workplace. They also learn fundamental communication strategies and techniques that can effectively resolve conflict, both individually and in teams. Overall, this workshop allows participants to explore and develop conflict management skills to enhance their relationships and the overall performance within their organization.

Objectives
  1. Explain the dynamic nature of conflict and how embracing conflict can lead to positive individual and organizational relationships.
  2. Identify a personal style in approaching conflict, including at least one barrier and one opportunity that this style presents in a person’s organizational relationships.
  3. Explore two fundamental leadership skills that are used to effectively resolve and address conflict.
  4. Apply leadership communication and conflict management skills in groups and team.
