When and where is the AJA Conference & Jail Expo?
The AJA 36th Annual Conference & Jail Expo will be held at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida from April 9-12, 2017.
 
Housing
 
What housing options are available to exhibitors and attendees?
AJA has secured discounted rates at two hotels. The host hotel is the Orlando World Center Marriott, and overflow is the Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista.  Housing opens in November 2016 and closes on March 15, 2017.

When does registration open?
Advance Registration opens November 2016 and closes on March 10, 2017.
 
What are the onsite registration hours?
Saturday, April 8 - 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, April 9 - 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Monday, April 10 - 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday, April 11 - 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Wednesday, April 12 - 8 a.m. – Noon
 
What luncheons/receptions are included with my registration fee?

  • AJA Luncheon & Business Meeting: Sunday, April 9
  • Jail Expo Grand Opening & Reception: Sunday, April 9
  • AJA also provides lunch meal vouchers in the Exhibit Hall on Monday, April 10 and Tuesday, April 11
  • AJA Banquet Dinner: Tuesday, April 11
 
Can I bring my spouse or child?
Yes, we have a special Guest registration rate that family members can register under. Children under 18 do not need to register, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are not allowed in the Exhibit Hall during move in and move out.
 
What if I only want to visit the Exhibit Hall?
Attendees who just want to go to the Exhibit Hall MUST register for a one-day pass or a full conference registration. If you are a non-exhibiting company you must register as such for a one-day pass or full conference registration.
 
Do workshop speakers and presenters have to register?
Yes, if speaking or presenting you must register for a one-day pass or full conference registration.
 
What facility tours will be available?
There will be a list of facility tours offered in the conference program and at the facility tour sign-up table near registration. Tours are provided on a first come, first serve basis.
 
Is a press pass available?

Is there a student rate available and who qualifies?
AJA offers a student full conference registration rate of $95. Any student not employed in corrections can register at the student rate and present a valid student ID.
 
Will there be a Criminal Justice Student Day?
Yes, AJA will hold its fourth annual Criminal Justice Student Day on Tuesday, April 11. It features a complimentary one-day pass to our conference with the following schedule:
7:30 a.m. – 8 a.m.: Registration
Students are required to register in advance. Click here for the registration form.
8 a.m. – 10 a.m.: Workshops
Students have their choice of any workshop held during this time.
10 a.m. – Noon: Q&A session
This is your time to ask questions and learn from active corrections experts.
Noon – 2 p.m.: Exhibit Hall Tour
Students are invited to tour the exhibit hall and learn first-hand about the products and services in use in our jails.
 
Where do I pick up my badge and registration materials?
All materials can be picked up at conference registration at the Orlando World Center Marriott.
 
When and where is the 2018 AJA Conference & Jail Expo?
The AJA 37th Annual Conference & Jail Expo will be held in Sacramento, California from April 22-25, 2018.

How much does exhibit space cost?
Exhibit Booth Pricing:
  • New Exhibitor Showcase- $1,395
  • 10' x 10' Booths - $1,595 (Inline Location)
  • 10' x 10' Booths - $2,295 (Corner Location)
  • 10' x 20' Booths - $3,890 (One Corner and One Inline)
  • 10' x 20' Booths - $4,590 (Two Corner Booths)
  • 20' x 20' Booths - $10,000
 
What does an Exhibitor get with the Booth?
Booth Fee Includes:
  • 10' x 10' booth space with draped 8' back wall and 3' side rails
  • Company identification sign
  • Two (2) complimentary exhibitor badges for individuals directly employed as staff of your company. 
  • Admission to social events
  • Access to all workshops, seminars and sessions
  • Additional passes are available for only individuals directly employed as staff of your company for a fee of $50 each
  • 24-hour security service
  • Daily aisle maintenance
  • Descriptive listing by company and product/service in the onsite program book and mobile app
  • Advance and post-show attendee listing
 
Does carpeting and furniture come with the booth?
In 2017, the space will be carpeted because the ballroom we are using at the Orlando World Center Marriott is already carpeted. Therefore, no carpeting will be available for Exhibitors this year.

Who is the Show decorator and how can I as an Exhibitor contact them?
Brede is the official Show contractor. Exhibitors must use the AJA's official show service contractor for drayage, furniture rentals and other services published in the Exhibitor Service Kit. Exhibitors are expected to have their booths in show condition each morning before the Exhibit Hall opens. Brede’s AJA Exhibitor Help Line is 781-741-5900 or send an email to csbrede@brede.com.
 
Where can an exhibitor find information about ordering carpeting, furniture, electricity etc.?
All of that information will be in the electronic Exhibitor Service Kit which will come from our decorator Brede. Shortly after you receive a booth confirmation email, you will receive an email from Brede with the link and show code to the Service Kit. Carpeting will not be available because the Hall already has pre-existing carpet.
 
Where can I find the Exhibitor Services Kit?
The Exhibitor Service Kit is electronic. Brede will provide Exhibitors with a link to the website as well as the AJA Conference show code to access the information. It will come in an email from them shortly after you receive the booth confirmation email from AJA.
 
If you do not receive anything from Brede within a week after you have received a booth confirmation, please contact Brede’s AJA Exhibitor Help Line is 781-741-5900 or send an email to csbrede@brede.com.
 
How do I register my booth staff for badges?
You have two options: Log into your AJA account and go to your events, OR the badge registration form can be found in your Exhibitor Kit.  Please complete and send to Jackie Ravenet at jackier@aja.org.
 
How many badges come with the booth?
As an AJA Exhibitor, with your booth space, you will receive two (2) exhibitor badges.
 
What if I need more badges or need to make changes to the badges?
You may purchase additional exhibit hall passes for $50 each for staff directly employed with the company. The form can be sent to Jackie or you can add via our website (you must log in to your account). Registration will stay open up until March 24th. If, after that time, you have any late additions or changes you can still make them onsite.
 
Where can I find Sponsorship Information?
All of the sponsorships that are available for the 2017 Annual Conference and Jail Expo are listed with descriptions and pricing information in the Exhibitor Prospectus.
